A Registered Safety Practitioner, and a Chartered Fellow of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, with more than 30 years experience of operational, environmental and safety matters within the petrochemical industry, and who displays a high degree of initiative. A history of development and implementation of safety related projects which contributed to the high level of personal safety performance associated with a global Petrochemical Company.

Personally trained to a high level in the field of "operational" safety (NEBOSH Diploma.), combined with Occupational Hygiene qualifications. (6 BEBOH Preliminary certificates.). A qualified Lead Assessor of Quality Assurance Management Systems (BS 5750). Instrumental in the implementation of behavioural safety training programmes in former Company.

Now working as a freelance Health and Safety trainer/consultant, with a proven track record in the field of health and safety training course development and delivery.  Extensive experience in the delivery of NEBOSH and  IOSH courses. Currently delivering the NEBOSH International  Technical Certificate in Oil and Gas Operational Safety. Also acts as a NEBOSH Examiner for the International Technical Certificate in Oil and Gas Certificate.

Has carried out a number of health and safety management system reviews, and undertaken a series of health risk assessments, for a major Petrochemical Company. An articulate communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, who is comfortable when dealing with personnel at  all levels of an organisation.

Joe Eades 
Associate Trainer

Joe is a Chartered Chemical Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), he brings over 18 years international experience in various roles across Europe and Asia. He currently holds the post of Vice Chairman of the IChemE in Singapore and is a council member of the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES), Deputy Chairman of the Chemical Engineering Technical Committee and also chairs the Process Safety Sub-Committee.

He graduated from Loughborough University with a Masters in Chemical Engineering and a Diploma in Industrial Studies. He then worked for a number of years in Engineering, Construction, Commissioning and Operations in locations such as China, Holland, Spain, Switzerland, Singapore and the UK as well as being a client representative managing the primary and sub-contractors through design, construction, commissioning and into production for large projects.

Joe has chaired many HAZOP’s and SIL assessments for many of the Multi National Companies. He was also the lead process engineer on a NCE (New Chemical Entity) project in Singapore that had 6 chemical weapon precursor materials in the process.  Joe has also designed a contained multi phase relief system using the DIERS methodology that was handling pyrophoric material for a project that won the international 2001 IChemE Safety award. 

Joe is also an adjunct lecturer at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in the department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (dept. now ranked 7th globally). Joe also sits on Industry Advisory Panels for both the School of Chemical and Life Sciences at Singapore Polytechnic and Taylors University in Malaysia.

Joe is an ACTA certified trainer and runs various Process Safety and related training across Australasia.

Trevor John
Associate Trainer

Trevor is a UK Fire Service Manager with 20 years operational frontline experience in the UK.  Trevor has worked as a trainer for one of the UK’s largest live fire training centres for 4 years, assisting in the training of fire fighting recruits, commercial and industrial fire fighters to the very highest standard in addition to providing community fire service information and risk based initiatives.

Trevor is a qualified in building design, with knowledge of building construction. He is a FPOS First Aid Instructor, Breathing Apparatus Instructor and UK NVQ Assessor for Fire Trainees, holding a Level 4 safety qualification, IOSH Managing Safely, Institute of leadership and Management certificate, and many other fire service related qualifications.

Trevor is a knowledgeable Fire fighter with experience in all operational duties, necessary to save life and reduce property damage.  He is an experience trainer including community fire safety, fire safety courses and fire fighting techniques including extinguishing and preventing fires, RTC extradition methods, water and emergency rescue, safe working at Height rescue.  As such he is able to bring this knowledge to our students via case studies and practical application in addition to assisting candidates to achieve CIEH or NEBOSH qualifications.

Paul Bradbury

Paul has been a practising occupational health and safety professional since 1992 and is a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner with IOSH, a fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health and a Registered Consultant on the Occupantional Safety and Health Consultants Register administered by the UK HSE. He has experience in working in multi - site retail (food and non-food), manufacturing, heavy engineering (shipbuilding, military vehicles, aircraft, trains), construction, agriculture, waste, quarry and railway industry environments and can use this knowledge to provide proactive, practical assistance to a wide variety of industry sectors.

Professional qualifications include a BSc (Hons) Applied Biological Sciences, NEBOSH Diploma, Certificate in Safety Programme Auditing, Environmental Management Certificate, Construction Site Managers Safety Certificate (SMSTS) and an NVQ A1 Assessors Certificate.

Paul is also an examiner for the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH). Paul has vast experience in delivering NEBOSH, IOSH and CIEH courses as well as bespoke inhouse courses.

Richard Parker
Associate Trainer

Richard began his working life as an apprentice carpenter and joiner and has worked in construction, served in the British army and worked as a teacher in Further Education before becoming a full time health and safety practitioner in 2004.

He holds the NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma in Health and Safety and the NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management and is also a qualified and experienced health and safety management systems lead auditor. He has a Diploma in Management Studies and a Post Graduate Diploma in Adult Education. He is a Graduate member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and is currently working towards achieving his Chartered status.  Richard is also a full member of the Education and Training Foundation.

Since becoming a full time health and safety practitioner, Richard has worked for local government, provided health and safety services for the construction, engineering, retail, services, education and catering industries and has worked as a full time health and safety manager for the construction of a bio-mass power station.

His passion is training and development and he constantly strives to ensure that the training he delivers is not only relevant but interesting. Richard believes that his ‘muddy boots’ experiences in the construction industry, the self-discipline that he learnt in the military and his more recent experiences as a health and safety practitioner places him in the ideal position to provide practical health, safety advice training.

Derek Pudney
Associate Trainer

Derek began his working life serving in the British Army, Royal Engineers. After serving his military service, Derek moved into the construction industry and worked his way up to Senior Site Manager before moving into training in 2007.

He holds the Level 5 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Level 3 & 4 City and Guilds Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Tutor for Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), Derek is also a qualified and experienced construction vocational qualification assessor. He is a Graduate member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and is currently working towards achieving his Chartered status. A member of the Chartered Institute of Building and a chartered construction manager.

Since becoming a full time health and safety practitioner and trainer, Derek has worked for various national and international providers delivering health and safety training within many sectors, such as construction, engineering, retail, services, network rail, oil and gas.

Derek believes that his ‘hands-on’ experiences in the construction industry, has allowed him to develop the necessary level of competence to provide a well-balanced informative training course, with a level of interaction that suits all delegates.

Derek’s main hobbies include rugby, golf and ballroom/sequence dancing.

Jackie has been working in the field of education since 1994 after graduating with a PGCE from the UK she taught in schools, colleges and in Higher Education.

She is an energetic practitioner who achieves successful outcomes; believing educational activities should be engaging and inspiring.  She has particular interest in motivational techniques and assessment strategies which allows her to facilitate students to achieve excellent results.

An approved CIEH, UK Trainer and Personal Development Trainer she prepares future trainers with essential theoretical and practical skills required to deliver their specialist subjects with confidence and competence or assist individuals to develop their full potential.

Chris Ridgeway
Associate Trainer

Chris brings along a wealth of experience from the commercial to the academic.He holds a Bsc, MPhil, Dip Psycho and a Phd as well as a chartered occupational psychologist and FCIPD.

Chris has been a global business leader, an internal HR director and an academic visiting professor. Chris researches and publishes leadership articles with a list of over 50 documents and books in print today. He has considerable experience of leadership training and management system development within the oil and gas sector and continues to develop systems within this demanding area.
